Whitepaper Presentation : From the Margins to the Mainstream:
Navigating the Complexity of Enterprise Coaching

As organisations increasingly adopt coaching as a leadership and culture enabler, many still struggle to move it beyond isolated initiatives into everyday practice.

This session shares real lessons from an enterprise coaching journey, focusing on how to build traction, encourage adoption, and maintain momentum in complex organisational environments.

Participants will gain practical insights into common barriers to coaching adoption, how to make coaching more accessible for leaders, and how organisations can begin to measure coaching maturity.

We also explore how pilot programmes can be used to create meaningful cultural change and embed coaching more deeply into the organisation.

Syahrul currently leads the Leadership Coaching & Growth Centre, under Maybank
Academy, where the mandate is to embed a coaching culture that takes hold across the
entire organisation, and not only at the senior leadership level.
The role focuses on building manager-coach capability, establishing governance
structures that endure, and integrating coaching into the daily practice of leadership.
To do this, he draws on his 20 years of cross-industry experience spanning multinational

companies in banking, human resources, talent advisory, as well as local government-
linked companies (GLCs), conglomerates and SMEs.

Success in this role is measured by whether the coaching strategy and framework
translates into sustained behavioural shifts, and whether that !change produces outcomes
of measurable and meaningful impact.
