Staying Present When Strong Feelings Arise: Building Capacity Through Coaching Supervision
Strong emotions are increasingly present in coaching conversations, shaped by global uncertainty, conflict, disruption, and rapid change. This experiential session explores how coaches can stay present with intensity without fixing or becoming overwhelmed, developing the somatic and relational capacity for co-regulation. It also highlights coaching supervision as a key practice for reflection, resilience, and sustaining grounded, effective presence with clients.
Leanne Lowish is Program Lead for the Coaching Supervision Academy (CSA) Diploma in Coaching Supervision across the Americas and Asia Pacific regions.
She brings to this role a deep commitment to embodied and relational approaches to
coaching, supervision, and leadership development.
Formally trained in Wendy Palmer’s Leadership Embodiment and Thomas Hübl’s Ancestral and Collective Trauma Healing. Leanne integrates somatic practice, co-regulation, and reflective supervision into her work with coaches at all stages of development. Her facilitation draws on trauma-informed frameworks including Thomas Hübl, Bessel van der Kolk, Somatic Experiencing and Dan Siegel’s
window of tolerance model, supporting coaches to meet the full range of human experience with grounded presence and compassion.
Based in Berkeley, California, Leanne works internationally, bringing the CSA’s approach to coaching supervision to coaches and organisations across North America, Asia Pacific, Japan and beyond. She holds credentials including ESIA, EIA, ITCA, and ORSCC
